For the twelfth time, the cross-border event Youth at the Top will take place from 16 to 17 July. Across 29 local events in the Alps and the Carpathians, children and young people will have the opportunity to experience mountain environments firsthand and learn more about local flora, fauna, and cultural traditions.

This year’s edition is once again united by a common theme “One Mountain – Many Ecosystems.” Participating organizations are invited to develop activities inspired by this topic. The focus highlights the remarkable diversity and interconnectedness of mountain ecosystems – from forests and alpine meadows to wetlands and rocky habitats. It explores how species, habitats, and human activities interact within these dynamic landscapes, emphasizing the importance of understanding and protecting the delicate balance of mountain environments.
