Le Réseau Alpin des Espaces Protégés
Dans son livre, Vincent Tornay, géographe de formation, évoque son périple à pied de 119 jours de Trieste à Monaco, sur la fameuse Via Alpina. Il y présente également 13 massifs des Alpes en autant de chapitres. Pour chaque massif, il décrit un itinéraire à pied de plusieurs jours et le complète d’informations pratiques utiles pour préparer au mieux sa randonnée et se confronter sur place à la spectaculaire Via Alpina.
Cet ouvrage évoque les parfums d’un extraordinaire voyage d’un bout à l’autre des Alpes, des rives de l’Adriatique à la baie de Monaco, à travers huit pays alpins.
Un livre pour les randonneurs, d’un jour, d’une semaine ou d’une vie, pour les voyageurs-aventuriers et pour tous ceux que la montagne fascine.

The Alps, for all their variety and diversity, none-the-less constitute a single, united region. By presenting the Alps as a tourism destination that goes beyond the borders of individual States, this guidebook contributes to the implementation of the Alpine Convention’s protocol on tourism.

Integrativ dynamischer Naturschutz in den Österreichischen Naturparken
47 Autorinnen und Autoren aus Österreich, Deutschland, Luxemburg, Frankreich, Slowenien und der Schweiz beteiligten sich am Projekt „Neue Modelle des Natur- und Kulturlandschaftsschutzes in den Österreichischen Naturparken“.
Die Studie umfasst neben den allgemeinen Grundlagen die Beschreibung von über 40 Natur- und Kulturlandschaftsschutzprojekten aus allen 7 Naturpark-Bundesländern und dem Ausland zu den Hauptfeldern Arten- und Biotopschutz, Besucherlenkung, Naturvermittlung, Inwertsetzung der geschützten Landschaft durch Produkte, sanfte Mobilität sowie zu Projekten mit intensiver Einbindung bzw. Beteiligung der Bevölkerung und Interessensvertreter.
Der Bericht verdeutlicht die wichtige Rolle, die den Naturparken als prädikatisierte geschützte Landschaften zufällt und veranschaulicht, wie integrativ dynamischer Naturschutz in den Naturparken umgesetzt wird: Er stellt sich sowohl den gesellschaftlichen Interessen des Schutzes als auch der Nutzung der Natur und hat einen fairen Interessensausgleich und eine zum wechselseitigen Vorteil dienende Zusammenarbeit zum Ziel.

Information about the Project Habitalp: "Alpine Habitat Diversity", a project of the Interreg IIIB Alpine Space programme. 2002-2006
The HABITALP project deals with the diversity of alpine habitats and its goal is to monitor in a standardized way long term environmental changes in these habitats. This is performed with the help of colour infrared (CIR) aerial photographs. Special focus is given to the identification and long term survey (monitoring) of NATURA 2000 sites, in particular of habitats cited in annex I of the Habitat Directive, which are detectable by aerial photographs.
11protected areas were active within HABITALP, divided as follows among five nations: Germany (1), Austria (1), Italy (5), France (3), Switzerland (1). Berchtesgaden National Park was the leader for the overall project.
“The Alps. From Rio 1992 to 2012 and beyond: 20 years of Sustainable Mountain Development. What have we learnt and where should we go?”. The report from M. Price et al. proposes some answers to these interrogations, focusing on the role of networks such as ALPARC for the development of mountain areas.
Amorcée dès la création du Conservatoire botanique national alpin, il y a de cela bientôt 20 ans, la collecte de publications scientifiques, en lien avec les thématiques de travail du CBNA, a permis la constitution d'un fonds documentaire aujourd'hui riche de plus de 26 600 références.
