Considering that
the mountaineers, in cooperation with the large population centers of Piedmont, are rallying together to adopt adaptation strategies in response to global change that is taking place, and to prevent the risks of droughts and floods. Elected officials, water managers and scientists are invited to meet together to share ideas, debate and promote joint management of the water, at the lever of upper basins.

Les ressources naturelles sont limitées. Y compris dans les Alpes. Nous devons en faire un usage parcimonieux et raisonnable. Mais cela ne doit pas nous empêcher de bien vivre, au contraire, car avec notre créativité nous pouvons trouver des solutions qui respectent notre environnement. Parfois cela implique aussi de ne pas intervenir, de se « retirer », de ne rien faire. A quoi ressemblent ces solutions, qui n’impliquent pas une consommation toujours croissante de la nature et de ses ressources? Comment pouvons-nous amplifier et démultiplier les nombreux concepts et initiatives qui existent déjà en termes de sobriété et de gestion durable des ressources ?
Nous vous invitons à débattre et chercher des réponses à ces questions, parmi d’autres, lors de la conférence annuelle 2014 de la CIPRA sur le thème « des solutions créatives face à la raréfaction des ressources ». Elle se tiendra du 13 au 15 novembre 2014 à Annecy.

The International Symposium for Research in Protected Areas is intended to make research in protected areas, their problems, solutions, results and their importance to society visible and known. This event aims to provide both the scientists and the staff of conservation organizations the opportunity to exchange valuable information, new ideas as well as common interests and to discuss a variety of current research and management issues in protected areas.

Espace transfrontalier Marittime - Mercantour : Les Alpes de la Mer
Forts de la création du GECT « Parco europeo/Parc européen Alpi Marittime Mercantour », le Parco Alpi Marittime et le Parc national du Mercantour souhaitent hisser le territoire vers la plus haute distinction mondiale.
Avec les parcs de Marguareis, delle Alpi Liguri, la Province d'Imperia et l'Area protetta regionale "Giardini Botanici Hanbury", ils sont candidats à l'inscription au patrimoine mondial de l'Unesco.
Une étape importante vient d'être franchie en avril 2013 avec l'inscription du site sur les listes indicatives par les Etats français et italien.
Lundi 18 novembre 2013 sera la journée de lancement public de cette candidature.
Pour réussir, une candidature doit être portée par tous les acteurs du territoire, aussi nous comptons sur vous pour la soutenir et vous invitons à réserver cette date pour découvrir le dossier et ses porteurs.

The Vanoise National Park (F) in collaboration with the city of Pralognan-la-Vanoise and ALPARC organises from Thursday 17th to Sunday 20th of January 2013 the 18th edition of the Danilo Re Memorial, dedicated to a ranger of Cuneo region who died during the exercise of its functions in 1995. The " Danilo Re Memorial" represents an important opportunity for all staff of alpine protected areas to meet.

According to the decision of the 8th General Assembly of ALPARC in September 2012 in Poschiavo (CH), all alpine protected area managers are kindly invited to prepare their membership by initiating the necessary procedures in their respective institutions (presidents, councils, ministries,…) to be able to officially join the ALPARC association at next January 18th
This step is a very important one for ALPARC and its future. We need to give an official status to the Network in order to continue our common work for the Alps.

The Nature Park Adamello Brenta (I), in collaboration with ALPARC, will organise from Thursday 9th to Sunday 12th January 2014 the 19th Memorial dedicated to Danilo Re,a ranger of the region of Cuneo (I) who died in the exercice of his function in the year 1995.
Since several years, the « Danilo Re Memorial » is an important occasion of meeting for the staffs of the alpine protected areas.

Attention, new date!
The 2nd General Assembly of the ALPARC association will take place in the Nature park Adamello Brenta (TN) / I
on 10th of January 2014 from 8:30 to 13:00
during the 19th Danilo Re Memorial .
The third ALPARC workshop on the topic "Mountain Environmental Education in Alpine protected areas" will take place on 21st and 22nd of October 2014 in the new visitor centre "Haus der Berge" of the Berchtesgaden National Park .
It is co-organised with the Berchtesgaden National Park (Bavaria, Germany) and with the REEMA (Alpine Network for Mountain Environmental Education), which gathers the staff in charge of environmental education in the French Alpine protected areas.
Target public: Staff in charge of environmental education in the Alpine protected areas.
Limited number of participants: 30 persons max.
Language of the meeting: English
Programme: this working group meeting will be focused on ongoing activities and projects.The programme will also offer large discussion time for informal experiences exchanges as well as a general session focused on current topics and interests regarding education to nature in the parks and reserves. Guided visits are also planned in option on 20th and 23rd of October. You can download the programme proposal below. The expectations and proposals of the participants are still welcome and will be considered while defining the final detailed programme, which will be published until end of September.
