The Danilo Re Meet, which brings together large numbers of Alpine protected area staff, is now into its 15th year. As well as being a sporting competition, the Meet is an occasion to get together, compare notes and celebrate, all of which cements friendships and highlights the drive and dedication of all those who work together for nature conservation. Hohe Tauern National Park focuses on climate change education


In response to global warming, the Hohe Tauern National Park in Austria has decided to lead by example. Working together with political decision-makers, the Park's Mittersill visitor centre (Salzburg) is expanding its environmental education programme. The National Park Climate Change School project is designed to teach children and young people how to respect the natural world. (...)
