Dear Colleagues, Partners and Friends,

2018 has been a very active year for the network in terms of international cooperation. ALPARC’s actions have been mainly focused on European projects and on major strategic projects for the association. Hence, in the future, we expect a further increase in international exchanges between protected areas on a wide range of topics. International cooperation between the Alpine protected areas is essential to contributing to a modern management of our areas and to benefiting from the experiences of all the Alpine colleagues.

In this spirit, I wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, fostering international cooperation and strengthening our common work for the Alps.

Peter Oggier,
President of ALPARC
